Population census continues in Uzbekistan

The process of conducting a population and agricultural census is actively ongoing in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
A report on the progress of this process was presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was noted that so far, 2.48 million households, as well as 31 thousand farms and agricultural enterprises, have been registered through a special portal.
The census activities are being carried out in two stages during the period from January 15 to February 28. In the first stage, citizens have the opportunity to independently fill out online questionnaires.
In the second stage, neighborhood officials collect data door-to-door using tablets. To effectively organize the process, a geoinformation system covering more than 7.6 million households and residential facilities has been implemented.
Additionally, citizens' personal data is strictly protected and is ensured to be used only for statistical purposes. Approximately 60 thousand people have been involved in carrying out this event.
Moreover, regional and district headquarters have been established, and a large-scale information campaign has been conducted to inform the population. Source: zamin.uz
