Cold weather in Tashkent: caution needed on the roads

The Tashkent City Traffic Safety Department issued an important warning to the capital's residents and road users. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It has been reported that due to snowy and cold weather conditions in the city, strict adherence to certain rules is necessary to ensure safety on the roads and prevent unpleasant incidents. In the official statement, drivers were asked to strictly follow traffic rules, maintain safe distances, and not exceed the speed limits.
Additionally, pedestrians moving on the roads were advised to be treated with respect and to increase caution. Furthermore, the department recommended not parking vehicles under multi-story buildings, trees, or structures, but rather using designated parking areas.
This is because in snowy and wet weather conditions, there is a possibility of ice chunks falling from roofs or tree branches breaking. Therefore, such risks should not be ignored.
It is reminded that the Uzbek Hydrometeorological Service warned about the arrival of moist and cold air masses in the country from January 22 to 24. Therefore, drivers and pedestrians are asked not to rush unnecessarily on the roads, to strictly observe safety measures, and not to put their lives at risk.
