The “volume method” compliant with international standards was introduced, which helped improve quality in road construction. With the support of international financial institutions, $300.3 million was attracted for the construction of 213 kilometers of modern roads.
Strategic facilities were launched in the regions. In Khiva, the first 550-meter underground automobile road was built.
In Jizzakh region, a new 4-kilometer road and a 700-meter road overpass were constructed. In Tashkent city, roads from Makhtumquli Street to the New Uzbekistan Park were renovated, and 21 kilometers of special sports lanes were built around the Olympic Village.
To ensure the long-term service of roads, the system for controlling the weight of freight vehicles was strengthened. Across the republic, 86 modern weighing stations are being installed, with 41 of them currently operational.
Additionally, an underground pedestrian crossing tunnel on the “Tashkent—Bostanliq” route was constructed in just 48 hours. For the development of the sector, 42 regulatory documents and standards were revised.
