140 trillion soums of credit will be allocated for small businesses

In Uzbekistan, 140 trillion soums of credit is planned to be allocated this year to support small and medium-sized businesses. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The regulations regarding these credits will be revised, taking into account the capabilities and conditions of the regions. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting dedicated to priority tasks for reducing poverty and ensuring employment in 2026.
The head of state emphasized that the current credit system offers the same conditions for all regions, but the economic conditions of the regions differ significantly. For example, the opportunities in Olmazor and Bozatov districts are not the same, yet both regions receive credit at a 17.5 percent rate.
Now, in 37 "difficult" regions, credits will be provided at a 12 percent rate. Within the framework of the family entrepreneurship program, the maximum amount of preferential loans has been increased by 1.5 times and set at 50 million soums for all regions.
Additionally, up to 100 million soums of unsecured credit will be allocated for purchasing pedigree livestock, and up to 150 million soums for technologies aimed at establishing guest houses or processing products. For 562 neighborhoods in border and enclave areas, a credit limit of up to 1 billion soums has been set for projects.
To develop family entrepreneurship, an additional 2 trillion soums will be directed on top of the initially planned 3.6 trillion soums. Furthermore, banks are expected to allocate 17 trillion soums in credit to deepen the economic specialization of neighborhoods.
For the portion of these credits spent on crop production, a 4 percent compensation will be provided, and for processing projects, a 6 percent compensation will be allocated. Source: podrobno.uz
