Avalanche risk announced in mountainous areas
Due to changes in weather conditions and precipitation from January 27 to 30 this year, there is a risk of avalanches in the mountainous regions of the republic. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The "O‘zgidromet" service issued an urgent warning regarding this. Experts emphasize the need to strengthen precautionary measures on mountain roads and in high-altitude areas during these days.
The avalanche risk has been announced in the following regions: - Qashqadaryo region: Dehqonobod, Kitob, Qamashi, and Shahrisabz districts; - Surxondaryo region: Boysun, Qumqo‘rg‘on, Sariosiyo, and Uzun districts; - Samarqand region: Nurobod, Qo‘shrabot, Samarqand, and Urgut districts; - Jizzax region: Baxmal and Zomin districts; - Toshkent region: Bo‘stonliq, Parkent, Ohangaron districts (Chotqol mountain range); - Namangan region: Pop district. According to "O‘zgidromet" information, special caution is required from residents living in mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling in these regions.
It is recommended to reduce speed when driving on mountain roads, keep away from dangerous slopes, and plan trips according to weather conditions. It is important for citizens to follow safety measures.
