Warm days and a return of cold weather are expected in February

According to O‘zgidromet data on what the weather will be like in February, this month is expected to be slightly warmer compared to January. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Specifically, temperatures in the plains may be on average 2–3 degrees higher, and in mountainous areas 1–1.5 degrees higher. Nevertheless, winter weather does not always remain the same.
In some years, spring warmth is observed in February, causing early blooming of trees such as almond, apricot, and cherry plum. Long-term observations show that the maximum temperature in February in some years has risen to 24–29 degrees, and in southern regions even up to 30–32 degrees.
For example, record high temperatures were noted in 2016 and 2021. In those years, February was on average 3–6 degrees warmer than usual.
On the hottest days, temperatures reached 22–27 degrees, and in the south 28–30 degrees. However, the warmth in February does not last long.
Sometimes, after a quick warming, a cold return is observed. For instance, at the end of February 2021, temperatures sharply dropped to 10–15 degrees below zero.
The coldest February was recorded in 2014, when the average temperature was 4–8 degrees below normal. Therefore, February retains the distinctive characteristics of the winter season.
