The "Second Chance" project gives hope to young people

The meeting discussed the issue of reintegration of young people who have served their sentences in penal institutions back into society. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This issue was identified as one of the urgent directions. It was emphasized that such young people face many obstacles after being released.
It was noted that it is important to create a clear path, practical profession, and a stable source of income for them. For this purpose, the "Second Chance" project was announced.
Within the framework of this project, intensive courses lasting 8–12 months will be organized for young people who have served their sentences. These courses will teach modern professions such as programming, web design, computer engineering, as well as foreign languages.
The main goal of the project is to provide young people with profitable employment and give them the opportunity to start a "new life." Initially, this project will be implemented from June 1 in the Navoi, Kashkadarya, and Tashkent regions.
From next year, it is planned to expand the project throughout the country. During the meeting, the head of state held an open dialogue with the youth.
Reports from responsible persons were heard at the event, and suggestions and opinions from young people were listened to. The "Second Chance" project, true to its name, prioritizes the future of young people rather than their past.
If the system works properly, this project will create new opportunities for thousands of young people. It will also enhance security for society and contribute to increasing the number of qualified personnel.
