Bloggers' income included in GDP for the first time

Representatives of the Uzbekistan Tax Committee are studying the experience of the Russian Federal Tax Service in order to regulate the activities of bloggers and individuals earning income through the internet, as well as to establish effective tax control. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In this regard, special meetings and training sessions were organized in Moscow. In 2025, significant changes occurred in the economy of Uzbekistan.
For the first time, the income earned by bloggers through advertising was officially included in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This served as a basis for recognizing blogging as a new segment of the country's economy.
According to official data, the total income of bloggers amounted to 760.2 billion soums. This amount is approximately equivalent to 62 million US dollars.
These figures demonstrate that blogging activity not only serves personal interests but also has a significant impact on the state economy. From now on, the blogging sector is forming not only as activity on social networks but also as a real economic sector.
In the future, it is planned to fully formalize, increase transparency, and fully integrate this activity into the tax system. This will contribute to further economic development.
