Flood risk announced in mountainous areas
The "O‘zgidromet" service issued a weather warning for March 2–6. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to it, due to rains, flash floods and floods may occur in foothill and mountainous areas. This risk applies to the following regions: - **Qashqadaryo region**: Yakkabog‘, Dehqonobod, Chiroqchi, Kitob, Shahrisabz, Qamashi, G‘uzor districts; - **Surxondaryo region**: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Sho‘rchi, Qumqo‘rg‘on, Muzrobot districts; - **Samarqand region**: Urgut, Samarqand, Bulung‘ur, Nurobod, Qo‘shrabot, Kattaqo‘rg‘on, Payariq, Jomboy, Ishtixon districts; - **Navoiy region**: Xatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimex, Karmana districts; - **Jizzax region**: Zomin, Baxmal, G‘allaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, Yangiobod districts; - **Toshkent region**: Ohangaron, Bo‘stonliq, Parkent, Piskent, O‘rtachirchiq, Yuqorichirchiq districts as well as Angren and Olmaliq cities; - **Namangan region**: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, Yangiqo‘rg‘on districts; - **Farg‘ona region**: So‘x, Shohimardon, Farg‘ona, Beshariq districts; - **Andijon region**: Andijon, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qo‘rg‘ontepa, Paxtaobod, Izboskan, Xo‘jaobod, Marhamat districts and Xonabod city.
Residents living in foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling in mountainous regions are asked to take precautionary measures. It is recommended to follow safety rules and avoid unnecessary risks in places where there is a risk of floods.
