Special flights will be arranged to return Umrah pilgrims from Uzbekistan

Special flights will be organized to return Uzbek citizens from their Umrah pilgrimage. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The official press service of Uzbekistan Airways announced this. It was stated that Uzbek aviation authorities have instructed all airlines to temporarily suspend transporting pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
This restriction also applies to Uzbekistan Airways' flights between Jeddah and Tashkent. According to the airline, starting from March 2, 2026, repatriation flights on the Jeddah — Tashkent route will be arranged to return Uzbek citizens who traveled to Saudi Arabia under the Umrah program.
These flights are aimed at safely bringing the pilgrims back home. The flight schedule and additional information will be announced later by the airline.
This initiative is an important step to bring citizens stranded abroad back home.
