Uzbekistan will bring blogger incomes under tax control

Representatives of the Uzbekistan Tax Committee are studying the experience of the Russian Federal Tax Service in Moscow. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This process is being carried out with the aim of effectively bringing bloggers and individuals earning income through the internet under tax control. In 2025, a significant change occurred in the Uzbek economy: for the first time, bloggers' advertising income was included in the Gross Domestic Product.
This development shows that blogging activities are taking a significant place in the economy. Bloggers' income amounted to 760.2 billion soms, which is approximately 62 million US dollars.
These figures indicate that blogging has now become a real economic segment beyond just social media activity. In the future, it is planned to fully transparently regulate, formalize, and integrate this sector with the tax system.
This is expected to be an important step in the development of Uzbekistan's economy. Source: One.uz.
