President: Creating jobs for youth is a pressing task

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized during a meeting with youth that every year 600 thousand young people enter the labor market. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, by 2030 this number could reach 1 million. For this reason, he particularly stressed that creating decent jobs for young people is one of the most important tasks facing the state.
According to the results of a survey conducted among young people, one-third of participants expressed a desire to become entrepreneurs. To turn this interest into a real opportunity, last year $400 million was allocated to banks and the Youth Affairs Agency to ensure youth employment.
According to data, through the "Youth Business" and "Step into the Future" programs, 15 thousand young people have started their own businesses, resulting in 50 thousand people being employed. One young entrepreneur is becoming an "engine" providing jobs for several families.
The President announced an additional allocation of $200 million to support youth entrepreneurship. These funds are expected to stimulate new projects.
The loan amount for self-employed youth is set to increase from 100 million to 300 million soms. For young entrepreneurs, the loan limit may be expanded from 5 billion to 10 billion soms.
It was announced that investments of up to $100 thousand will be permitted for innovative startups. Convenient financing packages will also be introduced for young people who want to open branches by acquiring franchises from local brands that have created over 1,000 jobs in the service and catering sectors.
A "shortcut" is opening for young people who want to rely on an established brand and achieve results faster. In summary, as the number of young people increases, expanding job, income, and business opportunities for them means strengthening the future.
Importantly, these opportunities must be implemented quickly and fairly at the local level.
