In Uzbekistan, comprehensive reforms aimed at providing housing for the population, modernizing the construction sector, and building new towns are consistently ongoing. A vivid confirmation of this is the number of multi-storey houses commissioned and the number of apartments in them over the last three years.
Annual growth is observed in construction
According to official data, from 2022 to 2024, a total of 4,920 multi-apartment houses were built in Uzbekistan, and more than 221 thousand apartments were handed over to the population.
Annual indicators are as follows:
- 2022 — 1,433 houses, 56,115 apartments
- 2023 — 1,443 houses, 65,528 apartments
- 2024 — 2,044 houses, 100,264 apartments
It is evident that neither the number of houses nor the number of apartments has decreased over the years — on the contrary, stable growth is observed.
“New Uzbekistan” massifs — modern town concept
The “New Uzbekistan” massifs, implemented on the initiative of the President, have become one of the largest construction projects of today. Initially consisting of 29 massifs, their number is expected to reach 56 by 2025.
Currently, in this area:
- 890 multi-storey houses have been built;
- 31,692 apartments have been commissioned.
This means not only new infrastructure but also the creation of life centers that encompass a new lifestyle, amenities, transport solutions, and social services.
Strategic goal — decent housing for every citizen
In the search for solutions to the issues accumulated over the years, our country's construction sector is undergoing a significant trial and achievement phase. Newly built houses are being erected not only in city centers but also in districts and villages, covering all regions of the country.
