Construction of multi-apartment buildings is accelerating in Uzbekistan
Construction of multi-apartment residential buildings in Uzbekistan is entering a new phase. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

From March 1, 2026, to March 1, 2028, model multi-apartment buildings are planned to be constructed in six areas within Tashkent city, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Namangan regions. This initiative aims at broader goals beyond simple building construction.

The new approach involves developing residential areas along with surrounding infrastructure and transparent mechanisms. It was officially announced that in 2026, 140,000 multi-story apartment buildings will be constructed across the country.

The main focus in this process is on the concept of "complex construction." Now, it is not just about erecting walls, but building housing based on a unified plan that includes engineering networks, access routes, and a comfortable living environment.

This decision is regarded as the next step aimed at increasing order, quality, and transparency in the construction sector. Urbanization processes and improving the urban environment have also been specially considered at the presidential level.

The task of coordinating these processes is assigned to the National Committee for Urbanization and Sustainable Development of the Housing Market. This means that these projects will be implemented through a unified management and control mechanism.

Systematic reforms adopted in the construction sector in recent years can help reduce existing problems through such centralized coordination. Additionally, this initiative is related to the president's decree "On measures to introduce complex construction mechanisms and ensure transparency in the construction of multi-apartment residential complexes."

The innovation prioritizes not "how many houses" but "how correctly and systematically" construction is carried out in housing development. If this mechanism works as expected in practice, within the next two years, the new residential areas in the selected regions will not just be new buildings but well-thought-out and orderly living spaces.
