Prices of plov vary by region in Uzbekistan

The National Statistics Committee determined the cost of preparing 1 kilogram of pilaf in the regions of Uzbekistan for February 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to calculations, the price of preparing pilaf varies by region. In some provinces, this price is cheaper, while in others it is more expensive.
According to the data, the cheapest pilaf is prepared in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, with a cost of 98,927 soms. In Sirdaryo region, this price is 105,337 soms, and in Andijan region, it amounts to 106,984 soms.
The highest price was recorded in the city of Tashkent, where preparing 1 kilogram of pilaf costs 118,381 soms. In Fergana region, the pilaf price is 116,256 soms, in Samarkand 114,383 soms, and in Tashkent region 113,602 soms.
This calculation takes into account the main ingredients required for preparing pilaf, including 0.3 liters of sunflower oil, 300 grams of onions, 700 grams of beef, 1 kilogram of carrots, 1 kilogram of rice, 100 grams of chickpeas, 10 grams of cumin, and 20 grams of salt. Experts emphasize that these values do not reflect the market price of ready pilaf, as cooking expenses and service fees are also added to the pilaf price in restaurants.
