Cold anticyclone is affecting the weather in Uzbekistan

Starting today, due to the cold anticyclone entering the territory of Uzbekistan, the quality of atmospheric air may temporarily deteriorate. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to O‘zgidromet, specialists emphasize that there is a possibility of slowing down air circulation and the formation of temperature inversion.
This can lead to the accumulation of pollutants in the lower layers of the atmosphere near the ground. Currently, meteorological conditions causing temperature inversion are being observed in the region.
At night, the air temperature remains around +5…+7°C, and during the day around +16…+18°C. In Tashkent city, the air mass remains humid and relatively cool.
In the early morning hours, fog, high humidity, and calm weather slow down air exchange. This can lead to the retention of waste in the urban area.
Experts note that under such conditions, emissions from motor vehicles, heating systems, and industrial waste accumulate in the atmosphere. The slow dispersion of pollutants can increase the amount of dust and fine particulate matter.
According to forecasts, this situation may persist for the next three days. By March 10, the cold anticyclone will fully cover the country’s territory, after which air temperature will stabilize, wind speed will increase, and precipitation is expected, resulting in the dispersion of pollutants in the atmosphere.
