Heavy rain and flash flood warning declared in nine regions
The Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan has declared a risk of flash floods and river overflows in nine regions of the republic due to heavy rains expected on March 18 and 19 of this year. Zamin.uz reported this.

Officials have informed the public about this situation and advised them to be prepared for sudden natural disasters. Specifically, a risk of flooding has been identified in several districts of the Qashqadaryo region, including Yakkabog', Dehqonobod, and Chiroqchi.

Additionally, the Sariosiyo and Denov districts of the Surxondaryo region remain at risk. Residents of the Urgut, Bulung'ur, and Jomboy districts in the Samarkand region are also covered by this warning.

Rising water levels are expected in the Xatirchi and Nurota districts of the Navoiy region. Residents of the Zomin and Baxmal districts in the Jizzakh region, as well as the Ohangaron and Parkent districts and Angren city in the Tashkent region, should exercise caution.

Flash flood risks also exist in the Pop and Chortoq districts of the Namangan region, the So'x and Shohimardon districts of the Fergana region, and the Asaka and Jalaquduq districts of the Andijan region. Citizens living in mountainous areas, those visiting for recreation, and road users are asked to pay special attention.

To take precautionary measures, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone areas and contact specialized services if necessary. It is crucial for every family member to take this warning seriously, and parents must ensure their children remain in safe places.
