During the month of Ramadan, significant financial assistance was provided to religious workers

In accordance with the decision of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, significant financial assistance was provided to religious sector employees during the month of Ramadan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Through the “Waqf” fund, a total of more than 80 billion soums was allocated to approximately 20,000 religious workers across the country. In particular, more than 3,600 Qur’an reciters who completed the Qur’an during Tarawih prayers in 1,800 mosques across the country were each given 10 million soums.
Additionally, more than 100 honorary members of the Council of Ulema were also given financial incentives of 10 million soums each. Imams of congregational mosques in the republic received 7 million soums each, teachers received 4 million soums each, and female religious leaders and neighborhood mullahs were allocated 2 million soums each.
Muezzins, guards, and cleaners working in mosques were each provided with 1 million soums in financial assistance. This initiative was implemented to encourage religious workers during the month of Ramadan and to appreciate their services.
Thus, the state highly values the work of religious sector employees and supports them. This contributes to the further strengthening of religious values in society.
