President awarded Javohir Sindorov with a state prize for his historic victory

During the event, the head of state recognized the athlete's immense achievements and personally presented him with a state award. By winning the Candidates Tournament organized by the International Chess Federation, Javohir Sindorov recorded an unprecedented result in the country's chess world.
Throughout the competition, he demonstrated high skill, patience, and strong will against the world's strongest grandmasters. The most notable aspect of the tournament was that the chess player did not suffer a single defeat across fourteen games.
He managed to achieve a record-breaking result by scoring a total of ten points. This achievement is highly valued by the international chess community as a unique phenomenon.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President emphasized that this victory is not only Javohir Sindorov's personal success but a triumph for all of New Uzbekistan. The head of state specifically noted that behind the athlete's achievements lie years of relentless hard work, the guidance of mentors, parental blessings, and strict discipline.
Furthermore, the President spoke with pride about the fact that, thanks to the great attention given to chess in Uzbekistan, there are two Uzbek grandmasters in the world's top five rankings. This situation indicates that the potential and prestige of the national chess school are steadily increasing on the international stage.
Javohir Sindorov's future goals were also discussed during the event. Confidence was expressed in his worthy participation in the struggle for the world chess crown and in upholding the honor of Uzbekistan at the Chess Olympiad to be held in Samarkand in 2026.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Javohir Sindorov was solemnly awarded the Order of Glory of Labor, one of the state's highest honors. In turn, the athlete expressed deep gratitude for the high trust shown by the President and the people.
