Sale of Low-Quality and Dangerous Children's Toys Uncovered in Tashkent

It has been revealed that items intended for toddlers pose an unexpected danger, according to Zamin.uz. Employees of the Tashkent city branch of the Inspectorate for Control in the Field of Technical Regulation conducted test purchases of Chinese-made children's toys sold in shops and retail outlets across the capital.
Complex laboratory tests and analyses showed that several products popular among consumers completely fail to meet established strict standards and technical regulation criteria. Specifically, toy weapons and rattles were found to pose a serious risk to children's health.
For instance, the sound level of a rattle designed for young children was found to be significantly higher than the permitted norm, which could negatively affect infants' delicate hearing. Additionally, it was determined that various models of toy guns breaking into small parts pose a high risk of choking or physical injury.
In dart game sets, parts with sharp edges were identified, which could lead to skin cuts or other severe injuries. Experts classified these products as extremely hazardous to children's lives and safety.
Based on laboratory findings, the import and distribution of these products within Uzbekistan have been officially banned. Currently, warning letters have been sent to all retail organizations.
Responsible authorities are taking strict measures to remove dangerous items from store shelves and completely halt their sale. Parents are urged to pay close attention to product quality and safety certificates when purchasing toys, as the health of our children is paramount.
