Uzbekistan's Passport Rises Eleven Places in Global Ranking

Alongside the growing international prestige of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the position of the country's civil passport in the global ranking is also strengthening significantly. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data from influential rating agencies that assess freedom of movement across the world, the Uzbek passport has managed to substantially improve its standing. Specifically, in the updated indicators, our country rose to 74th place.
Currently, citizens of Uzbekistan have access to 59 countries worldwide either visa-free or through simplified procedures. An analysis of the growth rate of the passport's prestige reveals a clear positive dynamic in recent years.
For instance, in 2023, the republic held the 85th position on this list. As a result of active foreign policy and international agreements conducted over the following two years, the country first moved up to 80th place, and in the current reporting period, it climbed another 6 spots to reach 74th.
In total, over the last two and a half years, the Uzbekistan passport has ascended 11 positions in the global ranking. This indicator testifies to the increasing openness of our country to the international community.
The situation also presents an interesting picture when compared to neighboring states in the Central Asian region. Kazakhstan's passport currently maintains the regional lead, with its citizens able to visit 78 countries visa-free.
Kyrgyzstan is recorded at nearly the same level as Uzbekistan. For citizens of Tajikistan, the doors to 53 countries are open, placing them at the 79th spot in the ranking.
Turkmenistan ranks 87th with 45 countries. Additionally, among CIS countries, Russia holds 44th place, Belarus 58th, and Azerbaijan 66th.
Singapore has been recognized as the holder of the world's most powerful passport. Citizens of this country can travel to 192 countries worldwide without any visa.
Developed Asian nations such as Japan and South Korea are also featured in the top three. Furthermore, European countries like Germany, France, Italy, and Sweden demonstrate the highest performance.
At the bottom of the ranking are states such as Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq, where international travel opportunities for citizens remain limited.
