According to the updated document approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Tax Committee, the list of agricultural products subject to a zero rate of value added tax has been significantly expanded. Now, the number of products in this list has reached 518, opening up new opportunities for entrepreneurs and manufacturers.

Under the newly adopted procedure, an additional 14 types of products have been added to the list. Thus, tax benefits now apply to live fish, feed and fodder crops, including for cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry, sold by manufacturers.

In addition, animals such as horses, donkeys, camels, and mules, as well as small livestock, silkworms, and the roots and stems of medicinal ferula, have also been exempted from value added tax. These changes will help improve the financial stability of farm households and business entities operating in the agricultural sector.

At the same time, previously existing benefits remain in force. In particular, benefits continue for all types of fruits and vegetables, grain crops, various spices, meat, and egg products.

Moreover, the reduced tax burden in the trade of fish and seafood, dairy products, and various types of tree seedlings will help prevent a sharp rise in prices in the domestic market. As emphasized by industry specialists, the expansion of such tax benefits will bring several positive outcomes for the country's economy.

First, due to reduced costs for producers, prices for basic food products in the domestic market will stabilize. Second, the profitability of entrepreneurs engaged in livestock farming, fisheries, and beekeeping will increase.

This, in turn, will contribute to increasing the volume of agricultural production and attracting modern technologies to the sector. The specified decision is considered one of the important steps taken by the state to support rural workers.
