In Uzbekistan, holidays are established in connection with the celebration of Eid al-Adha

This year, the sacred Eid al-Adha holiday will be celebrated in Uzbekistan in a dignified manner, and several days off have been designated for the public in connection with this occasion. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In accordance with the relevant decision of the Head of our State, specific tasks have been set to properly welcome and observe these days, which hold a special place in the spiritual life of our people. According to the conclusion of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the first day of Eid al-Adha this year falls on May 27, Wednesday.
In connection with this, the holiday will be widely celebrated throughout the country on this date. Based on the current Labor Code, the first day of Eid al-Adha is officially recognized as a non-working holiday.
Additional days off are also being provided to ensure that citizens can spend the holiday meaningfully with their families and continue family traditions. Specifically, by the relevant decree of the President, regardless of the workweek schedule, May 28, Thursday, and May 29, Friday, have been designated as additional days off for all employees.
Furthermore, for employees working on a six-day workweek, May 30, Saturday, has also been declared a day off. This allows our compatriots to celebrate the holiday in a high-quality manner for five consecutive days and to receive greetings from their loved ones.
During the holiday period, various cultural events, charitable activities, and gatherings promoting the traditions of kindness and hospitality inherent to our people are planned to be organized. This decision contributes to strengthening religious values in our country, preserving national traditions, and further reinforcing an atmosphere of mutual understanding in society.
State agencies and public organizations have been given appropriate instructions to conduct holiday events in an orderly and high-quality manner. The uninterrupted operation of transport, healthcare, and other vital sectors serving the public during the holidays has also been placed under supervision.
