In Uzbekistan, more than 191,000 babies were born in three months

In Uzbekistan, noticeable indicators regarding population growth were recorded during the first three months of 2026. Zamin.uz reported this.

According to official data provided by the Statistics Agency, during the months of January, February and March of the current year, more than 191 thousand live births were registered in our country. These figures indicate that demographic processes in our country are continuing steadily.

If we focus on specific numbers, a total of 191,086 children were born in the republic during the reporting period. When analyzing the gender composition of the newborns, it was found that the number of boys was slightly higher than that of girls.

Specifically, 98,5 thousand of the newborns, or 51.5 percent of the total indicator, were boys. At the same time, 92,6 thousand daughters were born, accounting for 48.5 percent of all births.

From the perspective of regional distribution, the birth rate in rural areas was observed to be higher than in urban areas. According to statistical data, while 93,7 thousand children were registered in urban areas, this figure reached 97,4 thousand in rural areas.

This shows that the main growth momentum of our country's population is still being maintained in rural areas. These demographic data serve as an important foundation in the future for developing social-economic plans, and improving the preschool education and healthcare system.

The age composition and growth rates of Uzbekistan's population are occupying leading positions in the Central Asia region. The stability of birth rate indicators is closely related to the reforms being implemented by the state in the areas of maternal and child protection, and family social support.

As experts emphasize, the population growth dynamics are expected to remain positive until the end of the year.
