Italy has allocated a quota of 1500 jobs for Uzbeks
The Italian government has announced that starting from 2026, it will officially allocate 1500 job positions for specialists from Uzbekistan. This was emphasized in an official statement distributed through the Uzbekistan Migration Agency.

It has been reported that this opportunity is related to the high demand for personnel in fields such as engineering, tourism, and agriculture. The Italian side aims to attract a workforce with sufficient qualifications specifically in these sectors.

This issue is being implemented based on the Memorandum of Understanding on Migration and Mobility signed during the official visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to our country this year.

Memorandum – a new stage of mutually beneficial cooperation

This agreement between Uzbekistan and Italy is expected to elevate cooperation in migration policy between the two countries to a new level. Currently, work is underway to implement the memorandum in practice and fully establish its content and mechanisms.

Important statement from the Italian ambassador

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Uzbekistan, Piergiovanni Papadia de Bottini, described this agreement as historic and commented as follows:

“The signed Memorandum of Understanding is a very important document in bilateral relations. It has been worked on extensively, and we are in favor of implementing it as soon as possible. Migration is currently a significant strategic direction. Uzbekistan serves as a model for other partners in Central Asia with its rich experience in this field.”

This decision by Italy not only opens new opportunities for Uzbeks seeking jobs but also serves as an important step in establishing orderly and effective labor migration between the two countries. In the future, the number and scope of such projects are likely to expand.

Positive outcomes indicate that the relations between the two countries are being built on solid foundations.
