The rules for courier services in electronic commerce have been updated — what has changed?
The services for purchasing goods through electronic commerce and delivering them to the customer's doorstep have been rapidly developing in recent years. In particular, the practice of accepting orders through modern online platforms and mobile applications and delivering them to the buyer in a short time is becoming increasingly popular every day. The new regulations set for couriers and delivery services operating in this field are considered significant news for individuals and legal entities engaged in such activities.

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has officially registered the regulation on "The Procedure for Implementing Courier Services in Electronic Commerce." This document clearly defines how courier services should be carried out in the field of electronic commerce, who can engage in this activity, and their rights and obligations.

Who is a courier and under what conditions do they work?
According to the new regulation, a courier is defined as a person who works based on an employment contract or a civil law contract with an entrepreneur or a delivery service operator. They can also carry out this activity on their own initiative, being self-employed.

The main task of couriers is to deliver the goods ordered by the customer on time, in a quality manner, and safely. Additionally, if specified in the contract, they have the right to collect payments for the goods. In this case, it is stipulated that the courier must use cash register equipment, meaning they must provide a receipt for payment in electronic or paper form.

Additional requirements for food delivery
Due to the expanding needs of the population, the demand for online ordering and delivery services for food products is increasing. The new regulation also sets special requirements for such services.

Couriers must use special vehicles and thermal containers for delivering food products, and these must meet sanitary requirements. In other words, thermal containers and vehicles must be regularly cleaned and disinfected. These are important requirements implemented to ensure the safety of the products and protect consumer health.

What mistakes should not be made?
The regulation governs courier activities not only from a practical perspective but also from ethical and legal standpoints. Specifically, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
1. Opening the customer's package during the delivery process without authorization.
2. Disclosing information about the customer or the order, including personal data, to third parties.

These requirements are established to strengthen customer trust, protect personal data, and implement high standards of service quality.

Conclusion: new regulation — orderly service
The implementation of this regulation not only makes the activities of courier services more transparent but also serves to establish a competitive, quality, and safe delivery system in the market. Couriers can now officially operate, knowing their rights and obligations. At the same time, customers will also understand their rights and know what services to demand.

As electronic commerce develops, the courier service must also be organized professionally. The regulations set by the state serve this purpose.

Therefore, if you plan to engage in courier activities, it is important to familiarize yourself with the new regulation and comply with it. After all, professional service is the foundation of reliable customers and a stable business.
