According to the information from the press service of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, more than 10,000 tourists from Japan visited Uzbekistan in the first five months of 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This figure is 3,500 more or 53.2 percent higher compared to the same period in 2024. The majority of the tourists came for travel purposes, totaling 8,950 individuals.

Additionally, 751 people came to visit relatives, 286 for business trips, 36 for education, and 1 for entrepreneurial activities in Uzbekistan. This data indicates an increasing interest of Japanese citizens in the country and positively impacts the development of the tourism sector.

Uzbekistan's cultural and natural wealth plays a significant role in attracting foreign tourists, and further growth in this sector is expected in the future
