Fraud uncovered at a university in Karakalpakstan

A large operational event was held in collaboration with the Department of the Republic of Karakalpakstan under the Prosecutor General's Office, the State Security Service, and the Internal Affairs Department. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

During the event, G.N., a teacher at Berdaq Karakalpak State University, was detained as a person suspected of committing an offense.

According to investigation data, G.N. deceived citizen A.D. by exploiting his acquaintances and influence, gaining his trust.

Through his high-ranking acquaintances, he promised to ensure A.D. and 17 students successfully pass their final exams, receiving a total of 18.3 million soums in cash.

The guilty person was caught with material evidence at the time of receiving the money. A criminal case was initiated under Article 168 (fraud) and Articles 28 and 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions have begun.

Representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office emphasized that a legal decision will be made based on the results of the investigation. This incident serves as a warning lesson to ensure justice and transparency in the educational system of the university.

Officials noted that preventing such cases in educational institutions and strengthening the trust of students and parents is one of the priority directions of state policy. Currently, this case is being examined in accordance with legal procedures, and it is firmly established that no guilty parties will remain unpunished.
