Brazilian President Lula da Silva sharply criticized US President Donald Trump. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, Trump should focus on managing his own country before trying to manage world politics. Lula expressed these thoughts at an international conference.
The president emphasized that Trump was elected to govern the United States, not to start wars. He also stated that he supported Trump's intention to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war.
Trump is now planning to increase arms sales, which is causing concern. The president criticized the political conflicts in the world and demanded attention to the real problems of the population.
According to him, while NATO countries are increasing military spending, 733 million people are struggling with hunger, which is a very sad situation. Lula pointed out that while talking about peace, billions of funds are being spent on weapons.
Politicians should prioritize saving people over war. In his view, the decisions of world leaders are aimed more at maintaining control and fear, which evokes the image of a “strange and out-of-control world.”
Lula also called on the international community to take steps towards peace and to establish cooperation instead of political confrontation. According to him, ensuring global solidarity, rather than governing the world, is the most important task of today.
