More than 60 thousand have died in military operations in Gaza
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the number of people killed as a result of Israeli military operations that have been ongoing since October 7, 2023, has exceeded 60 thousand. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

In the ministry's latest statement, it is mentioned that the number of fatalities has reached at least 60,034. Among them, 18,592 are children and 9,782 are women.

In the last 24 hours, at least 112 people have died, including 22 civilians who were trying to receive humanitarian aid. Airstrikes have caused the deaths of many civilians in the cities of Gaza, Khan Younis, Nuseirat, and Al-Mawasi.

Some families have been almost completely destroyed. Additionally, attacks have occurred in places where humanitarian aid is being distributed.

According to the United Nations, since May 27, more than 1,000 Palestinians have died while trying to receive aid. Israel denies such claims, emphasizing that only warning shots were fired.

At the same time, the problem of hunger is intensifying in Gaza. UN-sponsored global food security experts are warning that the worst-case scenario – famine – is currently unfolding.

Israeli officials are criticizing the information regarding the number of fatalities. They state that it is difficult to determine how many of the deceased were militants.

The Israeli army has reported that since the beginning of the year, it has eliminated more than 20,000 Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters.
