A plane crashed on a frozen lake in Alaska, USA. The pilot and two children inside the aircraft waited for 12 hours sitting on the wing of the plane for rescuers, according to Bild.
It is reported that the Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser light aircraft disappeared from radar on the evening of March 23.
Search efforts began immediately, but it was not easy to locate the plane due to the absence of a distress signal. By a fortunate coincidence, rescuers focused on a mobile phone signal and decided to search the area of Tustumena Lake on the Kenai Peninsula.
A real miracle occurred the next day: a pilot named Terri Godeser learned about the search efforts through Facebook and came across the wreckage of the plane.
“It was painful for me to look at this: as I flew closer, I saw three people sitting on the wing. They were alive and waving at me,” he said.

The crashed plane was piloted by a man, who had two minors on board with him. According to initial reports, the family was flying towards Skilak Lake.
Rescuers provided assistance to all three individuals and transported them to the hospital; the causes of the accident have not yet been disclosed.
