A US citizen faked his own death
A citizen living in the state of Wisconsin, USA, was found to have faked his own death in order to escape the country and meet his girlfriend abroad. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to sources, he will be held in custody for approximately three months. Reports indicate that he pretended to have drowned in a kayak, leaving behind his wife and three children.

He then set out to meet a woman living in the state of Georgia and left the country. During the court proceedings, he was found guilty of providing false information to law enforcement agencies and was sentenced to 89 days in jail.

Interestingly, this period matches the time during which he deceived people. Additionally, in court, he agreed to pay $30,000 for the labor and expenses incurred during the investigation.

In court, he stated, “I deeply regret the mistakes I made at that time and the pain I caused my family and friends.” During the investigation, it was discovered that he had obtained a new passport before his disappearance, which indicated to investigators that he had prepared a fake plan about his death to flee the country.
