
Turkey sent humanitarian aid following the devastating earthquake in Afghanistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to TRT Haber, the 25 tons of aid prepared in cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, and the Turkish Red Crescent Society were delivered to Afghanistan via a military aircraft from Erkilet Airport in Kayseri. The aid shipment included essential materials for building temporary shelters, hygiene products, food packages, and other important items.
On the night of August 31, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 struck Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan. As a result of this natural disaster, more than 1,400 people lost their lives, over 3,100 were injured, and more than 5,412 houses were destroyed.
Following the earthquake, the Kabul government requested assistance from Turkey. The humanitarian aid sent by Turkey is considered an important step towards alleviating the difficulties in the region.
