US President Donald Trump called on foreign companies to strictly comply with the country's immigration laws following an immigration raid at the Hyundai factory in Georgia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He emphasized that companies need to hire American workers and train them as skilled specialists. Last week, federal agents arrested a total of 475 workers at the Hyundai battery factory, including nearly 300 South Korean citizens.
The South Korean government is working to repatriate its citizens. Trump wrote on social media that he is ready to support foreign investments, but in return demands the creation of new jobs for American workers.
He also stated that the possibility of temporarily inviting some foreign specialists to the US to assist American workers with their experience is being considered. These measures serve the development of the country's economy and workforce.
