Starmer: The flag is not a symbol of violence, but a sign of tolerance
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that the country's flag will not be allowed to be used as a symbol of violence and division. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to him, the flag represents the various nations and cultures of Britain, and no one should be deprived of safety on the streets because of their origin or skin color. These remarks were made following large demonstrations in central London.

Approximately 150,000 people participated in the protest initiated by Tommy Robinson. During the event, clashes with the police occurred, resulting in 26 officers being injured and 24 people arrested.

Starmer emphasized that the right to peaceful protest must be respected, but attacks on the police and pressure on citizens will not be tolerated. He reminded that British society is based on the values of tolerance and respect.

Thousands of people carried flags during the demonstrations. The police deployed over a thousand officers and called in additional forces to maintain order.

Investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
