The US states of Texas and California are leading in clean energy production. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Since the beginning of 2025, energy production in these regions has increased by an average of 10 percent compared to last year. Approximately 74 percent of electricity in California and 46 percent in Texas comes from renewable sources such as solar and wind.
These figures are significantly higher compared to other states. Together, the two states produced over 10 million megawatt-hours of clean energy, which accounts for one-fifth of the total energy production in the US.
Experts emphasize that Texas and California are also leading in the implementation of new technologies. At the same time, other states face the risk of falling behind in this process.
This development in the field of clean energy is considered important for ensuring the country's environmental sustainability.
