On the morning of September 29, the first snowfall of the year was recorded in the Kostanay district of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within a short time, the city streets and houses were covered with thick white snow, the roads froze, making movement difficult. Local mass media reported on this situation.
Power outages occurred in several areas, and some traffic lights stopped working. This caused traffic jams and slowed down movement on the roads.
The police warned drivers to increase caution in adverse weather conditions and emphasized the necessity of strictly following traffic rules. Meteorologists had warned since September 28 about a sharp drop in air temperature across the republic.
According to their information, thunderstorms and strong winds may occur in the southeastern regions of the country. In the northern regions, rain and a significant drop in temperature are expected.
Only the southern and eastern regions of Kazakhstan will maintain relatively dry and stable weather. At the same time, strong winds are expected throughout the republic, and there is a high probability of fog forming during nighttime and early morning hours.
Experts emphasize that the first snow marks the beginning of natural changes in the autumn season and indicates a further decrease in air temperature. Therefore, the population and drivers are advised to be prepared for cold and unfavorable weather.
