The military wing leader of Hamas, Iza ad-Din al-Haddad, rejected the ceasefire plan proposed by the President of the United States, Donald Trump. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He emphasized that this plan is aimed at destroying Hamas. Trump's plan, consisting of 20 points, has been approved by the Israeli government and includes conditions such as Hamas surrendering its weapons and not participating in governing Gaza.
It is known that Hamas holds 48 hostages, of whom 20 are alive. According to the plan, these hostages must be released within 72 hours, which would be a significant loss for the group.
Additionally, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also opposed some of the conditions. Since October 2023, the ongoing war has resulted in the death of over 66,000 people in Gaza.
This conflict is creating complex problems for restoring peace and stability in the region. To ensure the safety of the population and establish peace, all parties must be ready for mutual dialogue and negotiations.
