A unique crime was uncovered in Myanmar. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The man worked at a car wash during the day, and at night he dug a tunnel underground and stole a large amount of gold items from a jewelry store. The criminal managed to dig a tunnel underground for nine days and find a safe way into the store.
Using simple construction tools, he dug several meters of tunnel each night and reached the store's basement. As a result, he took approximately four kilograms of gold and valuable jewelry.
The total value of the stolen items amounts to hundreds of millions of hryvnias. The man tried to sell part of the gold, but the police acted quickly and arrested him within three days.
During interrogation, the criminal emphasized that digging the tunnel was the safest and most precise way to enter the store. He had carefully planned his scheme for several weeks and acted as an ordinary worker during the day.
He is currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing. Experts believe this incident shows that despite the presence of technology and video surveillance, human imagination and criminal cunning have no limits.
The police consider this case an unusual and well-planned professional theft.
