AI-powered robot dogs have begun to be introduced into police service in China. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Global Times publication, intelligent robots performing special patrol duties are being tested on the streets of Hangzhou city. These devices are planned to be fully integrated into the police system by the end of the month.
The robots are equipped with high-precision cameras, motion sensors, and an artificial intelligence system, enabling them to independently analyze the surrounding environment and make decisions in real time. The robot dogs are mainly used to detect vehicles that violate traffic rules and stop in prohibited areas, monitor public order, and ensure security.
They can perform patrol duties day and night as assistants to police officers. Experts believe that such technologies play an important role in digitizing and automating the security system.
Although robot dogs cannot fully replace humans, they can provide effective assistance in hazardous areas and emergency situations. If the trial conducted in Hangzhou is successfully completed, the project is expected to be widely implemented in other cities as well.
The Chinese government aims to significantly enhance the level of security through this new technology. This will contribute to further improvement of the security system in the country.
