Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and Tesla, has once again announced his grand plans to build a city on Mars. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to his calculations, the cost of the city-building project on Mars could increase from 1 trillion dollars to 1000 trillion dollars depending on advancements in rocket technology. Although this project currently seems very expensive, Musk believes that within the next 40 years, the costs could decrease to as low as 25 billion dollars per year.
This would bring humanity's dream of interplanetary migration closer to reality. SpaceX plans to carry out the first real visit to Mars using its new Starship spacecraft.
The maiden flight of this new generation spacecraft will take place in 2026 and will include the Optimus robot. Elon Musk aims to name this spacecraft the "Golden Heart".
These ambitious initiatives represent an important step in creating opportunities for humanity to live on another planet. However, the project requires billions of dollars in funding, advanced technologies, and great patience.
Building a city on Mars could open a new era in human history, and many challenges lie ahead on this path.
