
The press service of the Republican Seismoprognostic Monitoring Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations has released the next official statement. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It is reported that on November 5 of this year, at approximately 11:00, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 occurred in the Sughd region of Tajikistan. The intensity of the tremors at the epicenter reached 5 points.
The earthquake's focus was located 12 kilometers deep from the earth's surface. The distance from Tashkent city to the epicenter was 133 kilometers.
Within the territory of Uzbekistan, the tremors of this earthquake may have been felt in the Sirdarya region. The intensity of the tremors in this area was recorded at around 2-3 points.
It was also reported that the Sirdarya region is located 54 kilometers away from the earthquake epicenter in Tajikistan. Currently, no additional information has been provided regarding the damage caused by the earthquake or other details.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations advises the public to remain vigilant and to follow safety rules during earthquakes.
