This was reported by Critical Beauty Philippines. 21-year-old Pushkinova lives near Prague and studies “Marketing Communications and Public Relations” at Charles University.
She has been working as a model for several years. Representatives from 79 countries participated in the final stage of the contest.
The title of “Air Queen” was awarded to Sollis Vala Ivarsdottir from Iceland, “Water Queen” to Chin Mi An from Vietnam, and “Fire Queen” to Vari Ngamkham from Thailand. The award for best appearance went to the representative from Colombia, and the prize for the evening gown presentation was given to the representative from Cuba.
In an interview after the contest, Pushkinova stated that she had previously faced problems related to anorexia and was forced by her modeling agency to lose excessive weight. She emphasized that after this period, she opened a new chapter in her life.
Additionally, Pushkinova did not deny the possibility of having distant kinship ties with the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. The “World Beauty” contest has been held since 2001 and is among major beauty competitions such as “Miss Universe,” “Miss World,” and “Miss International.”
The main goal of the contest is to focus on ecology and environmental protection through beauty. Winners later work as ambassadors for environmental protection in various countries.
