False threat at Atyrau airport stopped flights
An unusual incident occurred at Kazakhstan's Atyrau International Airport on November 8. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

A passenger joked about having a bomb in their hand luggage. This situation led to increased security measures at the airport and flights were temporarily suspended.

Airport staff immediately evacuated all passengers and cordoned off the area. Emergency services, including police, bomb disposal experts, and rescuers, quickly arrived at the scene and inspected the luggage.

As a result of the inspection, the threat was found to be false and the airport resumed its operations. No one was injured, but several flights were delayed.

The police statement said that airport operations have returned to normal. There are no victims or injured persons.

Additional details have not been released yet due to the ongoing investigation.
