Saudi Arabia is putting forward the official recognition of the Palestinian state as a key condition for restoring diplomatic relations with Israel. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced by Palestinian officials. They emphasized that Saudi Arabia prefers not to rush the normalization of relations with Israel.
According to Riyadh, due to the political views of Benjamin Netanyahu, who currently leads the Israeli government, and his right-wing representatives, including Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir, the possibility of rapprochement is very low. Saudi Arabia demands a plan that clearly defines the establishment of the Palestinian state and includes practical steps.
Riyadh considers this issue a fundamental factor for stability in the region. At the same time, Israel is expressing dissatisfaction with the new draft resolution of the UN Security Council regarding Gaza.
The document envisions creating conditions to ensure the right of Palestinians to establish an independent state. Some high-ranking Israeli ministers strongly oppose the creation of such a state, emphasizing that it will never happen.
As the situation in the Middle East becomes increasingly complex, the diplomatic process between Saudi Arabia and Israel remains closely tied to the resolution of the Palestinian issue.
