Trump accused Democrats of treason and threatened with the death penalty
Former US President Donald Trump once again attracted attention with his sharp statements. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

He made serious threats against six Democratic congress members, accusing them of treason against the state. On his page on the social network Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Those who call to disobey my orders should be in prison, not walking free trying to justify themselves through fake news.”

The former president accused the politicians of “the highest level of incitement” and sharply criticized their statements. Earlier, on Thursday, Trump accused these congress members of “actions punishable by death” and threatened them with the death penalty.

This situation has further intensified tensions in the US political arena. These congress members, including former military and intelligence officers, in turn, called on active military personnel via a video message not to obey unlawful orders.

They strongly criticized Trump’s orders to deploy troops to suppress protesters and operations to eliminate drug traffickers on the coasts of Latin America. The Democratic Party called Trump’s threats “absolutely hateful” and warned of an increasing risk of political violence in the country.

In recent months, incidents of politically motivated violence have increased in the US. According to the country’s Constitution, a person guilty of treason can be sentenced to death, imprisonment, or fined.

Concerns were expressed that Trump’s harsh rhetoric could deepen divisions within society.
