A traffic police officer died in a road accident in Namangan

A traffic police officer, Doniyor Nurillayev, died as a result of a road traffic accident in Namangan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported this. The tragedy occurred around 20:00 on November 25.

The officer was hit by a car while crossing an unregulated pedestrian crossing. It was determined that Doniyor Nurillayev was on his way to the Ministry of Internal Affairs hospital in the Yangi Namangan district.

The driver who hit him was a minor without a driver's license, driving an Onix vehicle at high speed and performing an overtaking maneuver. As a result of the incident, the officer sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Yangi Namangan district prosecutor's office regarding this incident. Investigation is currently underway.
