
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy appointed Rustam Umerov, Secretary of the National Security Council, as the head of the Ukrainian delegation for peace negotiations. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This delegation is planned to conduct negotiations with the United States, Ukraine's international partners, and Russian representatives. According to official information, the main goal of the negotiations is to achieve a just and sustainable peace.
The updated delegation includes representatives from the country's main state institutions. Previously, the negotiation group was led by Andriy Yermak, head of the presidential office.
According to a special decree issued by Zelenskiy, Yermak's powers were revoked. It is reported that Yermak voluntarily decided to join the combat forces.
Rustam Umerov's powers have been expanded. In recent months, he has become one of the main representatives of the Ukrainian leadership in international relations.
It is noted that Rustam Umerov was born in the city of Bulungur in the Samarkand region.
