Israeli soldier assaulted a Palestinian and abused his authority

Regarding this event, the military issued a statement emphasizing that the soldier abused his authority. It was confirmed that this individual is a reserve military serviceman, who has been suspended from duty and had his weapon confiscated.
According to Israeli media, he is currently under house arrest. The injured Palestinian man underwent a medical examination and was found not to have sustained serious injuries.
He has now returned home. A video showing the incident was broadcast on Palestinian television, depicting an armed person hitting a praying man with a car.
According to the United Nations, violence in the West Bank has sharply increased in recent years. From October 2023 to October 2025, over a thousand Palestinians and dozens of Israelis have been reported killed.
