
Former world champion, British boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a road traffic accident in Nigeria. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to local law enforcement agencies and international media reports, the incident occurred on December 29 on the Lagos–Ibadan highway passing through Ogun State. It is reported that the vehicle in which Joshua was traveling collided with a truck stopped on the roadside.
At least two people are said to have died as a result of this incident. The causes of the accident are currently being investigated, and the relevant authorities are conducting an inquiry.
The boxer himself sustained minor injuries from the incident. As a precaution, he was taken to the hospital and underwent a full medical examination.
According to doctors, there is no danger to the athlete’s life. Joshua’s representatives also confirmed that his condition is stable and that he is under medical supervision.
It is known that Joshua had been in Nigeria recently on a personal visit. The boxer frequently visits this country, which is connected to his family roots.
